You know how quickly it comes around. So, if you’d like to enjoy the best quality food this Christmas, it’s definitely worth getting your order in as soon as possible.
This year, we’ve sourced our turkeys from Bailey’s Turkeys, based near Knutsford, Cheshire. We paid them a visit in September and we were really impressed with the quality of their operation and the excellent welfare they provide for their birds.
You can choose from free-range Bronze turkey and barn-reared white turkey. All their turkeys are slow maturing, which is the secret to their succulent meat and fantastic flavour.
The Bronze breeds are the traditional turkey with a more intense flavour and represent the true taste of Christmas. Whereas, the White birds are a more recent breed and have a less intense flavour, for those of you who prefer a more subtle turkey meat taste. Of course, we’re not just here to talk turkey. We have an enormous selection of top quality produce for you to choose from. Our fabulous quality beef and lamb, all sourced from farms in Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales. Not to mention the superb tasting Saddleback breed pork, which is reared little more than a mile from the shop.
Obviously, Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a decent breakfast or three over the holiday period. And we’ll have a mouth-watering selection of homemade sausages, and home-cured bacon waiting for you.
In addition to the main event, many of you will probably be entertaining guests on various days of the holidays and I’m sure some top quality cooked meats and pies wouldn’t go amiss. Don’t forget, we also have a lovely choice of cheese and artisan charcuterie too.
